Extremely Rare! Sea Salp Filmed off of Florida

Jay Garbose videoed this pink Pyrostemma spinosum, a sea salp. It is a colony of chordates living together as one entity. Usually they are deep water creatures but cold water up-wellings bring them shallower. It is described by marine expert Connie Gasque as feeling as "soft as a feather boa"!
